Teaching

Studio recital fall 2023

I have two goals as your teacher:

1) to put myself out of a job (I want to teach you to be your own best teacher)!

2) to nourish your musical curiosity, helping you find joy as you discover more and more about music, the harp, and your own abilities!

In addition to solid instrumental technique, I will help you develop creative problem-solving abilities, musicality and expression, critical listening skills, stage presence, and confidence.

In addition to teaching harp, I also teach composition and music theory, and I integrate these disciplines into my instrumental teaching as desired.

I will tailor my instruction to your goals, and I have experience teaching all ages. I can provide traditional classical instruction or draw from my training in the Suzuki method as desired. At our first lesson, I will learn about your interests and work with you to develop specific objectives.
