Concert Offerings

Live concerts provide a rare and wonderful space to disengage from the chaotic stream of notifications and distractions in which we’re ordinarily immersed.

I take advantage of this special opportunity. My live performances create a rich dialog of ideas and perspectives, leaving my audience with thought-provoking, memorable experiences.

Cosmic Fragments

A sweeping and quirky musical-poetic survey of human experience and the universe we inhabit, Cosmic Fragments: Words and Music About Life, the Universe, and Everything grapples with the most profound aspects of our existence: impermanence, imagination, suffering, wonder, and potential—among others! Poems and prose alternate with short works for solo harp, all written within the last century, including the premiere of a movement from a commission for electric lever harp and electronics. At times aggressive, personal, whimsical, or meditative—and always sincere—this idiosyncratic program displays as many characters of the contemporary harp as it offers insights into humanity’s miraculous, impermanent appearance in the cosmos.

Length: full version, 55 minutes; abridged version, 45 minutes

Winter Light

Winter Light illuminates the softer side of the contemporary harp while exploring aspects of the chilliest season. Contemplative, delightful, cozy, and severe, winter’s many characters offer ample opportunities to reflect on the beauty of nature’s cycles.

The Harp Inside Schrödinger’s Box

The Harp Inside Schrödinger’s Box is an immersive dramatic concert experience for harp, live electronics, and audience participation that integrates art with science communication. Developed during my residence as the 2025 Fermi Forward Discovery Group Guest Composer in collaboration with Fermilab scientists, the flow of musical movements traces the historical evolution of quantum theory, interweaving archival recordings and quotations from pioneering 20th-century physicists including Feynman, Heisenberg, Dirac, Einstein, and Fermilab’s own Robert R. Wilson. Much more than a series of historical highlights, The Harp Inside Schrödinger’s Box invites participants on a journey into the heart of scientific inquiry, to share the wonder and joy of discovery firsthand.
